Brida lost weight from yesterday to today, so her discharge has been delayed. The earliest she will be discharged now is on Monday assuming she gains weight the next couple of days, but we are guessing it will most likely be Tuesday. They also delayed the delivery of equipment to our house.
The nurses increased the calories in her feedings today to try to increase her weight. She has started to spit up stomach fluids (twice when we were there today). The nurses are tracking this, but we are told there isn't much we can do about it. There is concern that if this continues she could aspirate these fluids, but they are taking an x-ray daily to look for fluid in the lungs.
